Feral in pink!

For the children the lockdown has been nothing but idyllic. The weather has been stunning, no school or play school , constant fun in the paddling pool and endless sunny days. Plus the adoration of three aunts, two Deedees (granny’s) and a grandpa. What more could a child ever want.

This was taken when just about to feed the lambs. The little black job is the last one receiving a bottle now and the children always want to help. Hebbie is still the size of a small dog but is beginning to grow a bit, plus she is developing some nice little horns too! She is partially convinced she is a hen as she is often to be found inside they henhouse having entered through the pop hole! I’m not too sure they then hen thinks it may be a sheep now as that is all the company she gets!

Farming - Although we sadly decided to sell our forager at  the end of last season we do still have a few customers we still silage for. Yesterday we assembled the usual team and headed off for one of these customers. A successful day was had. Mr Tbay then collected the round baler after repairs. Oh yes another breakdown! About £3000 worth. Groan.......

On the day that the baler had a woopsie I was busy rubbing down another  window on the front of the house. It is an old window but as I took the flaking paint off I discovered that underneath there was no wood. Arghhhhh! Yep, total disintegration from the inside out. No wonder I get ants in the summer emerging from the windowsill. It must be ant heaven in there. Anyway it seem that the bottom of the window is shot so guess what? Yes,  a new window required. Mr Tbay not a happy bunny :-(  See extra for state of window.
