Distance conversations in corona pandemic times

Our elderly people may have visit from 1 family member only. This 45 min once a week. The guest has to wear a mask and the elderly are sitting behind plexiglass screen. It is not easy as the 2 parties don t hear verry clearly each other. Conversations through a mask gives a verry muffled sound.
