Ceanothus confetti

Mr hazelh suggested that today I blip the pavement beneath the ceanothus bush along our street. It really is very pretty with the shed blossom filling the cracks.

I had a very poor night's sleep last night. This was (predictably) due to leg and back pain following yesterday's long cycle ride. It was also rather hot in our bedroom. I decamped to the sofa bed around midnight and half-listened to various programmes on BBC Sounds until the pain receded and I eventually drifted off to sleep.

As is the established pattern of lockdown Sundays in the hazelh household, today's main activities were baking and gardening. Mr hazelh and I also popped over to Darcie and Keith's house this afternoon to deliver some wombled science books to Jackson and Harper (who seemed quite taken with Astrophysics for babies), a box of homemade cookies, and a bottle of wine. Then this evening Katharine and Jack came over for a barbecue in our front area (yard).

The weather forecast tomorrow is fine again, so we're planning a tandem ride to Haddington and a picnic lunch by the river.

Exercise today: wee return cycle ride to Darcie and Keith's house.
