shotlandka's weebig world

Do you think anyone has noticed I'm late?

Great evening at the Scottish Leprosy Convention tonight. We were guests of Edinburgh University's Social Anthropology Society, and had 3 speakers. Come south we had the wonderful Prof Cairns Smith of Aberdeen University, who is a well known expert on public health, but also has great expertise in leprosy care, and is a member of the WHO technical panel. Come north we have Seyi Rhodes, award winning journalist (and a very nice bloke), who had made a fascinating Unreported World documentary entitled 'India's Leprosy heroes'. And come east we had the tenacious and ferocious Linda Todd, CEO of The Leprosy Mission Scotland and chair of the network of International Development Organisations in Scotland. A really good time, great questions being asked, and all in all a lot of fun. An intern called Mia organised it all - what a star!

Another late night, hence the backblip.
