Bathtime Playtime (back blip for Wed)

These intrepid bathtub explorers are Octonauts, specifically Captain Barnacles and Lieutenant Kwazii. The Octonauts was apparently originally a series of books, but I know the characters from CBeebies, where their animated escapades are a constant favourite with Hessie and David's son.

They're based in the Octopod, an undersea base of which any Bond villain would be proud, and they travel around in underwater vessels called 'Gups', discovering interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the sea bed.

It's classic children's TV, equally educational and fanciful, and naturally has a range of tie-in toys to supplement any four-year-old's wish list.
