Even cows enjoy a paddle!

This area of free standing water sits in a dip in a local field. It appeared many years ago after a very bad winter/spring and although the level drops during the warmer months is never completely dries up.

I often see cows standing in the water but I have yet to see them lying in it even at the edge. Can't say I blame them in this heat ..... I would love to have a paddle in the sea .... standing under a shower is not quite the same!
