Part of our lockdown routine has been getting back into reading the New Yorker magazine.

Deceptively slim, it's full of great writing, from culture to politics. Its famous covers are a barometer of the time, and in recent weeks have been documenting the pandemic.

This article, by Siddhartha Mukherjee, examined lessons for healthcare systems from the resilence and recovery of businesses from major shocks.

It also had some lessons for me for the day job, where we are often talking about resilience. It rang true to me that cost is easy to measure, and resilience much harder.
