Day 70 – Pentlands

Some people may think that the lock down has loosened in Scotland, but for the purpose of hillwalking it remains the same as far as we are concerned. We could always go 5 miles to start walking and that remains the same. If you live close to a big hill you can now go up it, but for those of us in the Central Belt it’s the same story. I shall still add one to the day until we can actually travel and go hillwalking. Today we cycled to Swanston, and I seem to have no ill effects from yesterday’s wee accident. We left the bikes and headed up Caerketton, Allermuir and Capelaw; it was warm and the air wasn’t as crisp as recently and quite quiet. We used the binoculars to see Stob Binnein and Ben More and there are still large patches of snow visible. As is often the case the best view was of the ridge from Turnhouse to the Kips so that is today’s blip. We finished watching (ab)Normal People, and then the last episode of Killing Eve. Both were a little preposterous but at least Killing Eve doesn’t take itself too seriously.

Best large.
