Away

30km from home but a long way from the everyday.

Sorry about the big blip gap, but nothing much to report lately.
Lockdown has slowly eased and from next Tuesday cafés, bars and restaurants will be opening around most of France, and our 100km restriction on movement will be lifted.
Work and school is still a bit on-and-off but we're able to get out and about, with distancing rules supposedly still in force. Quickly forgotten in many cases but I think most people are trying to do the best they can in this strange new reality.
We've met up with a couple of friends over the past couple of weeks, but not really gone back to the "old normal" - still avoiding shops unless necessary (=food) and are otherwise still just gently pootling around!

This weekend, however, we've escaped to my friend's new wooden hilltop house - it couldn't be easier to apply distancing rules in such a quiet spot! Just us on a hilltop and a couple of other guests in the treetop house further along. Huge empty spaces for walks and nature-spotting. The ideal retreat!
