Salad Days

I don't usually grow salad veg but was happy to accept some young shoots from Elaine which hopefully will grow into a variety of lettuce leaves, some beetroot and a few tomatoes in the coming weeks.

Zoom book club tonight and a chance to discuss my choice The Dutch House by Ann Patchett. I really enjoyed it, hope others did too.

And my title? Where does the term Salad Days come from?
