Joey Barton (he’s a former footballer with an almost comically short fuse and poor impulse control, if you aren’t familiar) has a habit of hitting nails on the head; although often in the manner of a stopped clock.

He made a comment today that the current situations here and in the US are object lessons in what happens if you vote for (rude word that rhymes with runts).

And it is impossible to disagree with that.

Trump appears to be going full King Lear right now, making all manner of impotent threats that reveal his unhinged weakness. Over here the government don’t appear to have the merest hint of a clue and are just winging it.
