From a Distance

First day at work done. I feel a lot less anxious about it now that I’ve been in and seen how it all works. I don’t know why but the fact that the children are all so good at socially distancing made me feel a bit sad. I had a little wobble at lunchtime when I spotted a 5 year old sitting on the field eating his sandwiches all on his own. He was later joined by his classmates so that was ok. They all seem perfectly settled and happy. The constant cleaning of surfaces and equipment is exhausting though!
D made me a frothy coffee when I got home. It was odd leaving him and the children here while I had to go to work.
