Jessie

I have blipped loads of photographs of Pickles but I am not sure I have ever introduced Jessie.

Jessie is Mya's cat, but she has asked us to keep him for her as she has now returned home to her Mum.  So we are now officially foster carers for a black tom cat.

We bought Jessie for Mya as a gift after Phil came home from hospital after his heart op.  She had been such a little trooper and never complained when we had to let her go into respite care at Christmas and then bring her out again on 23rd December because Phil's op had been cancelled while he was in theatre and already on life support.  We then had two more attendances at hospital,  and on each occasion we were told after at least a five hour wait that an emergency had come in over night and had taken longer than they thought it would.   so we were sent home, and collected Mya from respite again.  I am sure this is classed as emotional harm for all concerned.  Any way after the final visit in June 2018 where Phil ended up in hospital for ten day instead of the predicted four, we felt she deserved a special gift and she had always wanted her own cat - so welcome Jessie.

Jessie was not all he seemed either.  He was the kitten of a stray who lived on a local farm and was sexed by the farmer as a girl - luckily Jessie is a genderless name!  It is a good job the farmer is an arable farmer if he bred livestock it could have been interesting.

Jessie loves being out but on rainy days he likes nothing better than lying on the sofa.  I believe it is a sign of complete trust if the expose their underside to people, or maybe he just know a good thing when he has it.
