Lockdown Day 76......Stay Alert Day 22

This is my great grandfather, he was born in Jamaica in 1893.
Not much is known as to how he came to Europe or why he left Jamaica at the age of fifteen. One story is that he didn’t get along with his father, he had a massive row, packed his bag, kissed his mother goodbye and left for Amsterdam. There he became a solider during the 1914-1918 war and ended up in England.
I’m posting this picture because although I have white skin I also have black roots and black lives matter!
