Adolescent Crimson Rosella

A wonderfully relaxing day with the family and a few good books - we were visited today by a huge number of Crimson Rosella (Platycercus elegans). I loved the feathers on this one, unlike my Blip from 20 January 2013 this Rosella had green shoulder feathers, after a little research I discovered that this colouring is on the young to adolescent birds.
