Woodie Flight

I feel vindicated. Having pandered to my request for a perch to be erected opposite the kitchen window Hubs complained that in 2 weeks he'd seen nothing 'perching' or even remotely near it. True and neither had I. 

Patience is a virtue. 

Today however on looking out I saw a green woodpecker on a telegraph pole opposite and ...... on getting outside brandishing a lens she flew without coercion or bribery, yes really, onto the perch. Yay! .....AND flew off.
