There is a little “secret” path not far from home along which few people walk and we have never seen more than two people perhaps because it is frequently very wet and muddy and hard to find the start.  Even with the recent dry spell we had to be very careful in some parts so it was not easy to get a good photo of the yellow irises by a pond.  In the extra taken two weeks ago it is apparent how the vegetation has changed.  The white hawthorn and yellow broom blossom of spring have finished and now more plants cover the pond and the barley is starting to look less green.  Nature is constantly changing.
