Well we have had to have a new tank after all. When they dug down to it, they found it was a very small tank which won't have been helping matters. We are now the proud owners of a 1000 gallon septic tank! Tomorrow they will return and continue digging the leach field. It's a bit of a mess but eventually things will settle down again and we should have a better system than we have ever had.
