Unruly succulent

Sometimes I wonder why I give this straggling succulent shelf space but then I think it has an unruly attractiveness so it has stayed for quite a few years now. AND THEN in June every year, it bursts into bloom with the most wonderful flowers (see extra) and I am reminded why this plant will always have its place in the sun room!

My 97 year old mother-in-law died peacefully late yesterday evening after a short illness. She lived a very active life right into her 90s and as well as sadness that she isn't with us now, we are also relieved that she is no longer in pain.
