The last of my dried kidney beans.

Last summer we planted kidney beans for the first time. We left them to dry out as much as possible before we harvested them in the fall. Shelled and dried the seeds in the dehydrator, we then had several jars of beans . Today I took the last of the jars out of the freezer and fixed them for dinner tonight.
I really like growing beans for drying. This year we have planted 3 different beans for this purpose: scarlet runner beans, cranberry beans, and tongues-of-fire beans. Such fun!
