Grandmother's bonnet

Rather apt, as I am spending a lot of time just now delving into family history. It has been fascinating but sad to realise what a hard life my grandmother had before she married.

As to her headwear - I remember her doing the housework, wearing a head scalf tied in a knot on top of her head, like a land girl.
