Oaks, young and old

I've discovered that most of the mature trees on the former golf course are oaks. I then discovered that all of the big trees in the nearby wood are oaks, and although I am no tree expert, I think we must at one time, have had a large oak wood here. I still think this land will end up as housing, so I will maintain a vigilant watch over it. Oak trees are us!
