You know what?

Woke up to a lovely sunny day this morning and went for a run. Of course it was bitterly cold but nice to see the sun and the skies of blue. After lunch we decided to go to Vogrie park to have a walk in the fresh air before attending to some of the weekendly chores.

The last time we were at Vogrie we got roped into planting trees in their jubilee woodland, so we went to see if we could still see the specific trees we had planted. We did. It was great. We'd written our names in marker pen on the supporting stakes and the elements had not yet obliterated them.

Then we walked and walked and scrambled and walked for some more. I wouldn't say we got lost in the Tyne Valley, as we always knew what direction we had to head for, but we did spend a long time 'off path' before regaining the golf course and civilisation. Very interesting walk; curious geology and a deer running right across our path.

We made it back to the car shortly before the park was due to close. Lovely day.
