Swan Vista, Mote Park, Maidstone

Today we took at trip to Mote Park in our nearest town, Maidstone. It is a 440 acre public park which was previously a country estate. It was converted to landscaped parkland at the end of the 18th Century before becoming a municipal park open to the public. It has woodland, grassland, rivers and a 30 acre lake.
This image was taken on the boating part of the lake where various forms of waterborn transport are available for hire including canoes and swan shaped pedalos. Unfortunately, this is currently closed due to Covid-19. A shame as I quite fancied a pedal in a swan!
