Barley field

I have at last managed to plant the gooseberry bush a friend gave me a couple of weeks ago!  It took me nearly an hour to dig the hole as the ground is still like concrete through lack of any proper rain.

Went for a walk this afternoon down the finished track across the farm.  The barley is growing well now, it won't be long until the heads drop and it turns colour. Time is flying by this summer and here we are in lockdown.
