Three wise men

Forget marauding rioters. In this part of Egypt the main hazards are as follows:

1. Horse poo. Lots of caleches = lots of horses = lots of poo.
2. Felucca owners stopping you at every ten paces
3. Horse poo
4. Cars /minivans / scooters / motorbikes at night without their lights on. That is, the vast majority of them
5. Horse poo
6. Taxi drivers stopping you at every ten paces
7. Horse poo
8. Caleche drivers stopping you at every ten paces

Oh ... and did I mention horse poo? And I am thinking of having a t-shirt made that will say "I don't need a taxi, caleche or a felucca".

That said, it has a been a great week, topped off by the 'Sound & Light' show at Karnak Temple this evening. Kitsch in the extreme but hugely enjoyable. Lots of facts thrown our way but my take-home message was that Rameses II married four of his daughters and fathered over 200 children in his lifetime. Dirty b***er.
