St Serf’s Kirk

It’s been a good day of weather , not too much sun, however warm ( it’s all relative!) until rain started early evening!

Took part in an interesting webinar for tourist guides all over Europe about audio apps for use in this new age of tourist guiding!

After lunch drive over to collect strawberries from local farms close to the village of Dunning. I had a wander through the kirkyard, in amongst the old grave stones, there is a war grace from 1st world war a very young soldier killed in 1918, how sad.
The Kirk dates back 800 years, situated in the heart of Pictish country, the Picts were one of the ancient tribes here in the land that became known as Scotland. Inside the Kirk is the Dupplin Cross a 9th century carved stone cross.
Here ends the history lesson!

Spent time weeding and thinning veg, and an exercise class online before dinner!

A very good busy Tuesday!
