One task done

C fitted the rear windscreen wiper. No breakage this time. He dicovered that some part can be seperated from another which made the exercise much easier. I wanted to take a photo of a man seriously at work, but he was finished before I could adjust the camera settings.

This morning the sun was shining. Then, out of the blue, it snowed heavily for 10 minutes. Then the sun shone again. Then it rained a bit. Then the sun shone. You get the picture. It was bloody cold throughout.

C baked 2 breads for the coffee morning. He set the breadmaker to finish the first one at 5, then got up and put the second one in. I slept like a baby through all this with the smell of baking bread whifting through the house. I made 2 batches of banana muffins after I got up at a decent hour. They looked funny because they raised towards the oven fan. Didn't taste too bad.

One of our chickens escaped twice today. Silly bird. One of the neighbours' chickens spent the whole afternoon with ours. It was a mission to get her back home, because she couldn't get her own way back & had to be caught, but doesn't like to come too close to humans. Silly bird.

Watched the 2 6 Nations games & ate pizza.

3 thieving bastards tried to steal Mom's car (Skrik) this morning. Fortunately the neighbours discovered it when he went out for his early morning ride. 1 ran away, but the other 2 stood behind a tree, probably waiting for him to get on his way so they can finish. Didn't work. the other neighbour is a policeman & arrested them there & then. One was shirtless & they discovered his shirt under Skrik's bonnet where they did something to the engin. Poor Skrik now has a broken front door & lock, broken back window, broken gear lock & broken engin. The neighbours helped to get him back in the garage. Will have to wait till Monday to see what can be done to get him out of reverse gear & going again. The 3 men who came to the rescue stayed with Mom till the police were gone & all was settled & 1 said that he will take her to church tomorrow even though his church is in the opposite direction from hers. Thank you.

Now off to bed.
