Becky's Camellia

This camellia was in the garden when I bought the house in my last life.  It was a gift from grandparent's to celebrate the arrival of M & J's first born, Rebecca.  Rebecca's first born arrived just before the COVID crisis but, because of the COVID crisis, M & J haven't yet been able to get to London meet the wee man.  I'm always reminded of Becky, particularly when the blooms come out.  Fingers crossed the global COVID crisis is contained soon so that M & J can wing their way across the oceans and meet baby L.

19 days now since our last 'new case'.  The country is slowly returning to some normality - I read today that the local Saturday market will be re-opening this weekend.  That's going to be a big event for our little city as it's part of the fabric of this place..."Celebrating the fine produce and artistry from people of the Nelson region".  I have a feeling that it will be a big day on Saturday and the place will be chocka......better plan for an early start.
