Two-tone harassment X2

Finn and I witnessed a harrowing scene in the back garden this morning (the one whose wall I might paint during the next pandemic, if I am not busy 12 hours a day buying PPE...)

This poor feline was getting constantly harassed by two energetic and aggressive maggers. I don't know where their nest is, but the cat ain't getting near it.
The magpie worked in amazing synchronisation to keep a constant level of imminent danger in the cat's blind corner. As soon as he was facing one of the birds, he was getting attacked by the other.
Judging by the high density of magpies in our estate, the technique seems to be working pretty well. These two bird' will definitely pass on their DNA.
If we are not careful, the two-tone corvidae could rule the planet within a few generations.

Beware people, beware.

If you don't believe me, ask the poor traumatised cat condemned to tinned Kit-Kat for the rest of his life with zero hope of a baby magpie kebab anytime soon.
