Looking South

By the river

I had an appointment in Christchurch this morning, so took the opportunity to support local commerce  by having a sausage bap and a coffee while I walked along the Quomps: the name comes from marshland, and I can remember parts of it being boggy in my childhood.  Another local word in my extra photo: the footpath called Creedy.  This used to be part of Christchurch Priory's monastic land and Creedy is a derivation of Creed.  There's nothing like staying away from places for weeks on end to make you appreciate them when you do return.
