NOSTALGIA RULES...

...I put it down to lockdown - came across this while looking for something else & was instantly seventeen again. I'm wearing for the first time this BI (British India Steam Navigation) blazer.

In a couple of days I'll be off to Sunderland to join my first ship - MS Chinkoa as a deck apprentice bound through the Suez Canal to Durban & back.

It was the beginning of my real education - the world was innocent in those days - like me...
