Ruffled

The old cock pheasant wasn't ruffled because of the inclement weather, it was because there was a hen just out of the photograph.  The layers of feathers are really thick and plentiful enough to keep him warm in the winter months.   I haven't found a nest yet.  We do sometimes see chicks  about but the foxes usually put a sudden end to any chances of survival.

Attended a WEA zoom lecture on Women Photographer Refugees of the 1930s and '40s. Over a hundred people attended!
