Athelhampton House

After a visit to the Bank in Dorchester we decided to go to Athelhampton House nearby and booked online beforehand. Once we were there we found that the car park was empty so we rang them up and were allowed in nearly 40 minutes before the allotted time . We really had the gardens to ourselves and it was a delight .Their kitchen garden is impressive but things like rainbow chard were also aligning the pathways .
The doves enjoying the water was the first sight which greeted us !
