The small picture

These Switch Grass seeds are only 2-3 mm long and have some twisty ridges and other pretty features that aren't normally visible in the big picture.

When you detach and turn a 50mm lens backward and hold it tightly in place against the camera body to shoot, it has a near microscopic effect. Even the extension tubes I am so fond of using don't get this close.

I am not the first blipper to try this but I can not for the life of me remember whose journal I saw it in.

Because the lens is detached, the f/stop and focal length don't register in the viewfinder, but the shutter speed shows and is adjustable.

Now let me see...what shall I try next with this?
