Bivalve

I would just call it a cockle, but the internet suggests that I'm wrong! A cousin maybe. If anyone knows what they actually are then let me know.

Darap has a picture the sums up our family beach walk today at Portobello. The little bumps on the sand in his blip are all if these teeny bivalves. They were busy digging with their muscular tails and shooting wee jets of water into the air! Not that we needed any more water.

Picnic and takeaway hot drinks were consumed in the car...
