A Day In The Life

Sir Drakes

Good Saturday, All • We were up earlier than usual, made coffee, fed the cats and escaped to the river with our camera and binoculars. It was 49F at 7am • It turned out it was too chilly for the cormorants, eagles and ospreys. Other than a few seagulls and starlings (I cannot get away from them) the sky was quiet. We did witness numerous Stanley splashes though! • We drove a few miles north and found a group of dabbling ducks, the mallards, both male, female and a group of babies. The family dabbled, rested and slept in the morning sun • We’re home now, ready to do some weeding, watering, and housework. If we hustle along we’ll have time to head down to the river again before dinner • Enjoy your day, blip friends!
