ORANGE HAWKWEED

Orange Hawkweed (Hieracium aurantiacum); a.k.a The Devil's Paintbrush. I shot this in between races at Road America today...kept me amused while track personnel cleaned up some leaked oil on track.

This is an alien plant which probably came from Europe. Many Hawkweeds are yellow in color...this one stands out. Personally, I think it's beautiful. Found from Newfoundland south to Iowa, Ohio and northern Virginia.
