fringe festival..in Perth.

The first 'full' Fringe Festival was held in Perth last year and judging by the little bit of it I walked around today in Perth's Cultural Centre, this year will be HUGE!!
With over 1500 individual performances, a month of events, the Spiegelent, pop up venues on the top of car parks, bars and the Urban Orchard now hosting examples of the above, this is really quite impressive for this city, one of the world's most isolated cities!

After a weekend of cricket and sausages and staying literally just down the road, I popped in on the way home. Too hot to stay for too long (another 38C day) but a much longer visit well warranted.
All very quiet this morning, no doubt everyone sleeping into the day. This amazing tent, and equally intriguing poster, was at the top end of the Urban Orchard, now thriving with tomato plants, corn, herbs, fruit trees and the city in the background.

Very cool!
AND also at the Art Gallery, the current MOMA exhibition.

Not so, any more, the tyranny of distance.
