Ripple windmill

I liked the way the sun was just catching and highlighting the white window frames on this old windmill. A windmill has been on this site since the late 1690s although this is a much later version, built around 1815 on another site and moved here. The windmill was used as a strategic navigation point for boats trying to avoid the treacherous Goodwin Sands in the 1800s.

I have tried many times to get a photo of this "smock style" mill face on but the prevailing wind means that it is mainly facing towards a position which quite hard for me to get to. I will keep trying.
