Flies

First of all thanks for all the birthday wishes for Mrs, K. She enjoyed reading them. She had a very good day and we had a garden visit from our eldest son. The first time we have seen him for about fourteen weeks. That was the icing on the cake although the other cake was very nice too.

Unlike Mrs. K. I don’t think this fly will get onto page 2 of popular. They are interesting but I am no good at identification. There are several hundred in my insect book. It is possibly Melankistoma scalare. But who cares other than me?
