No Room for Error

Runway at Mustang Beach, Port Aransas where we landed for our one night away break. Apart from the 70 foot wide runway being literally surrounded by water, the airport is also a favorite place for skydivers. As I prepared to make my final approach at 1000 feet, a voice on the radio warned - ‘Mustang Beach traffic, I have 4 canopies in the air descending on the field!’ So around I went on a 360 degree turn before commencing my landing onto the piece of asphalt that was the only piece of land in front of me!
