World Igloo Building Championships

Ok, I never thought I would be saying "today I took part in an igloo building contest", but there's another thing to add to the never say never list!

Today is Setsubun in Japan, the day when you cast the demons out of your life by throwing beans at them, so representing M's school, our team of parents, teachers and kids made our igloo into a traditional Oni demon. Our decorating skills were second to few, unfortunately the architectural and engineering skills need honing a but more if we are to join the lofty ranks of the prize winners, like our friends from Get Hiroshima !

We wondered if we would ever get a roof on without the whole thing falling inwards, so even though we didn't win, the sense of achievement when we were finished was immense.

Yeah us! And congratulations to the winners!
