River of Flowers

By doffy

Monday: #30DaysWild - Caterpillars...

... feeding on last year’s kale.
Hover fly feeding on last year’s Swiss Chard which is bursting into flower, flowers are so tiny but there are lots of them - I’ll save the seed too, thank you pollinators!
Spotted the above when I was putting in a couple of canes for the “perennial” runner bean from yesterday’s blip, taking care not to disturb the bees!
First of the flowers on largest courgette plant, total of 4 at the moment - hopefully the slugs won’t bother to climb up the pot!!
Had some very welcome visitors to the garden this morning, our lovely neighbours from over the road :-))
Rain & storm threatened all day, dark and heavy - showers late afternoon ... but almost bedtime and no storm ...
ADDED LATER: the hover fly may be a “Marmalade”, saw similar on Twitter, please correct me if I’m wrong!!
Stay safe & healthy and happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
