Poppy power

It’s high summer and in the fields the poppies are creating vivid splashes of bright red. We spotted these on our daily walk. The weather was perfect for a stroll.
While in a wood  we met our Stretch and Relax teacher who I hadn't seen since the end of February. She looked as fit and energetic as ever and inspired me to get down to some Yoga tomorrow morning!  Someday we will all meet together again when sessions resume, but that could be some time as most of us are over 70.
Looking forward very much to forming a 'bubble' with my eldest son, daughter in law and two grandchildren in the next few weeks. I miss them a great deal but don't want to rush into things having got this far.
It may be just me but I'm not sure I understand how on the first day of 'bubbling' yesterday so many elderly people rushed into hugging and kissing their families again after being locked down with little or no risk of picking up the virus.
I am longing to see my family but I think we will stick to high fives and blowing kisses for their first visit. The virus is still lurking in places and takes such a toll on older people,  I'm sure we can wait a bit longer to hug until it's pretty well gone.
S and P are returning to Papworth today for a progress check on P's lung operation three weeks ago. I really hope the specialist has good news for them.
Extra: Rose ‘Graham Thomas’ - said to be ‘the world’s favourite ros’ and not without reason!
