Heather in bloom

Trying to catch up on some of the backlog of paperwork that has built up this week while I have been away. Glad to say I managed to get through a reasonable amount of it. However I did take a break to pop out mid-afternoon with the camera and luckily enough I spotted a lovely patch of heather which had a lot of flowers on it. Very unlike the heather in my garden, which is not doing anything much at the moment.

I'm a big fan of heather as it comes in such a wide variety of shapes and colours and provides some winter interest in the garden as well.
