Rose Chafer

I was a bit late going out for the weekly "big shop" today, so it was lunchtime by the time I finished.  So I grabbed a sandwich, drink, newspaper and camera (which I had the forthought to put in the car) and headed into the adjacent park / nature ares for somewhere quiet.

As I walked round the park back to the car, I spotted clumps of Oxeye Daisies, and to my delight found a Rose Chafer Beetle on one.  This is an in-camera focus stack of the wee beastie. There are a few halos round the petals, but not bad for a hand-held 8-image shot in slightly breezy conditions!   Another one in extras - this time manually stacked in Photoshop which has allowed for a little more accurate alignment.
