Californian Poppy

I was so excited to see this newly unfurled Californian poppy in my wild flower bed this morning. It's the first flower to appear (having spread the seeds in April). Camera Club tonight and one of our members will be giving a talk on a trip he took to Antarctica, I've seen the photos and I am really looking forward to it.
