Several Ways To Get There

On a hill above Braga is a great outdoor gym.
Or a great way to avoid investing in a stair stepper.
These are half the steps, and the lower half is a switchback through the forest.
You can also drive up to the top. Or take the longest running funicular in Europe.
The earliest religious incarnation was around 1373; and the church there now, began construction around 1784.
Numbers vary depending on technical starting and ending points, but there are about 650 steps, that take you up to Bom Jesus. A Unesco site as well.
A nice walk up, early this morning in a light rain.
