Bridgford Hall

was derelict until a few years ago and now is a beautiful venue for weddings with two ceremony rooms and seven short lease apartments for guests. It was restored with the help of English Heritage and now stands very proudly in the centre of the park.
Did the food shop this morning and managed to get everything on my list except almond essence.
We had a walk into the town centre as there is a lovely park behind the main street but it was so busy we didn’t walk down and took another road to the park. It was busy with lots of people enjoying the good weather, people having picnics and coffee, every bench was in use and a few groups had brought camping seats. Took Hetty for an walk after dinner and bumped into my daughter and her dog so had a ten minute chat before heading home. Heavy rain forecast for during the night so hubby brought the wellingtons out of the garage just in case the garden floods again, I don’t think it will as so sign of rain yet.
